The Saga of the Cable Sleeved Cardi

Good things take time, right? That’s why I keep telling myself at least. Three, maybe four, years ago, I had a designey-idea: knit a chunky cardigan that would fit under my winter coat. Easy huh? I picked up the needles, grabbed some yarn in my stash, and started knitting. I did not realise at the time that this would turn into the Saga of the Cabled Sleeved Cardi.

I Like Knitting and I Like Crochet

The title says it all: I like knitting and I like crochet! Earlier this year, I worked on two patterns for the summer issues of these mags, and was lucky enough to work on three warm and cosy designs for their October issue!   I Like Knitting and I Like Crochet are digital magazines that release six times a year, filled with exciting collections of exclusive patterns. You guys... another free chunky knitting pattern! The lovely team at Cygnet Yarns asked to work with me on another cute pattern for you guys, and I’m so excited to share it with you!The inspiration behind this was a wearable snood – part Katniss Everdeen, part Kangaroo pouch, 100% cosy. I worked with Katie, the Director and Co-Founder of Cygnet Yarns (who has an enviable family history in the yarn trade!!) to create this for you, using their incredible Seriously Chunky yarn in Light Grey. The Mossy

As a yarn-obsessed knitophile, I’m always on the hunt for new and interesting yarns to try.
